As a relative newbie to card making I've been debating whether or not to try any of the paper craft challenges like The Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. One of the members of the Mojo Monday Design Team post a sketch on their blog and challenges their followers to create a handmade card using the sketch as inspiration.  I've finally created a card that I actually want to share publicly.  So here it is

This was inspired by the Mojo Monday 318 sketch

Paper crafting has been a really scary adventure for me.  I started scrapbooking some years ago, enjoyed it for a while and then it sort of fell by the wayside. I don't know why, it simply did. Then in February of this year a close friend told me about Stampin' Up products. She and another dear friend were both Independent Stampin' Up demonstrators. I'm thinking this is all greek to me, but I always try to be polite so I said "Tell me more" and she did. Then she told me to visit the Stampin' Up website and I did. So many pretty things, rubber stamps, punches, ribbons, markers, stamp pads and some of the most beautiful paper I had ever seen. Don't misunderstand I've been known to wear Hobby Lobby and Michael's out. Don't give me a 40% off coupon and not expect me to use it.
The Stampin' Up website was like the Nirvana of paper crafting for me. Everything I saw I wanted and just like that I was hooked. The big brown truck has to leave me boxes or I feel unloved. My little craft room isn't big enough anymore. There are more things that I want to order, and those things require more space to be stored in. I find myself actually making cards. Birthday cards, thank you cards, thinking of you cards, lots of cards. Big cards, little cards, regular sized cards.
Now something else has happened to me, I've ventured into sketch challenges. Mojo Monday Challenge and Freshly Made Sketch Challenge.  Several of the bloggers that I follow participate in the challenges and I always ooooh and aaaah over their creations, but I never thought I would actually participate. However with a little encouragement from the extremely talented and amazing Dawn Tidd, Dawn is an Independent Stampin' Up demonstrator and I follow her blog Tidd Bits from Dawn, I decided to try it.  Which is why I started this blog, you have to have a place to post your cards and link them to the different challenge sites. Also I wanted a place to post the cards I create.
